Everything You Need to Know

How to Sell at Auction

Selling your property via auction is an extremely straightforward process and here, at The Auction Experts we make it hassle-free by taking care of everything. You just have to sit back and watch the bids roll in.

The Steps to Selling Your Property Via Auction

Step One

Book your free, no-obligation auction valuation with one of our experienced Auction Experts. You can do this by submitting the form at the bottom of this page.

Step Two

Based on the results of your auction valuation we will recommend, and discuss with you the reserve price and guide price for your property. The reserve price is the lowest amount you would be willing accept for your property whereas the guide price sits at 10% below the reserve price and is what we will market your property at.

Step Three

Once you are happy with the reserve price and guide price, we will issue auction contracts for you to sign and instruct one of our recommended solicitors to prepare your property's legal pack.

Step Four

We will prepare your property for market by taking the needed photographs, videos, preparing floor plans and gathering all the required documentation before conducting an open house. Whilst we action the above our solicitors will be preparing your property's legal pack ready for auction day.

Step Five

We will monitor your property on our auction platform and provide you with updates relating to the number of legal pack downloads and how many bidders we have registered.

Step Six

On auction day, we will confirm the final number of buyers who have registered to bid on your property, and you can watch the auction live on our website.

Step Seven

On a successful sale, the buyer will pay the Buyer's Premium, a 10% deposit and exchange legally binding contracts.

Step Eight

The sale completes 28 days after the auction, and your solicitors will deposit the funds into your chosen bank account.
